Home Distilling

I can brew 200 gallons of beer and 200 gallons of wine in my home legally, but I can’t (legally) distill even one drop of it into vodka, rum, whiskey, whisky, brandy or anything else. I think about this as I sit here, drinking illegally distilled vodka, thanks unnamed friend, looking at a case of beer I brewed last year that contains far more alcohol collectively than this whole bottle of illegal vodka.

Admittedly, I don’t think the ATF is very interested in what I’m doing as long as I am not selling it, but still. If I can buy it in the store, I should be allowed to legally make it at home for personal use and to give as gifts to others.
