San Francisco has a fancy new system to help drivers find parking places, using their smart phone! Pretty good idea right?
City officials advise drivers to pull over first before they use the city’s iPhone app.
If people had a place to pull over, they wouldn’t need to find a parking spot. What a good way to spend 20 million dollars. I might be wrong, but I think the mighty liberal mecca is also a hot spot for homelessness and too expensive for the poor to live in, the latter is in part due to rent control and ‘smart growth’. So maybe the money could have been better spent.
Good work, lets also remember that after mandating low flow toilets, the city’s sewers backed up because the toilets don’t use enough water to… ease congestion. They just have all the good ideas.
